The ShareBiotech project is intended for companies operating in a wide range of activities linked with life sciences (human health, animal health, environment, food, nutrition, cosmetics...) and in particular for SMEs having real R&D needs but unable to turn them into a precise demand for a specific technology. Actually, a number of existing technology core facilities may offer technology services or engage in collaboration with companies to support R&D activities. Companies are also encouraged to participate in local technology meetings and international events, to connect with scientists and other companies and to access technology facilitiesl. ShareBiotech also supports mobility for people to participate in events, training sessions and study visits aimed at improving technology skills.

The ShareBiotech consortium is also conducting a survey aimed at identifying companies’ needs and barriers to access technology facilities, with a view to improve technology services offerings.
