Cell/Tissue workshop

Under the ShareBiotech partnership, Biocant will promote a workshop dedicated to Cell and Tissue Culture on November 15th. The theme of this meeting was identified as one of the most relevant needs pointed out on the questionnaire carried out to research groups and companies in the Centre region of Portugal.

This workshop, whose panel includes speakers from companies and research groups, aims to be an opportunity for companies, researchers and other stakeholders with needs or intervention in the Cell and Tissue Culture area to​​ meet and discuss the potentials of "Cell culture-based technologies for vaccines, antibodies and recombinant proteins production”, “Tissue engineering strategies and platforms for regenerative medicine" and "Cell-based drug screening technologies”.

During the afternoon, participants are invited to "Meet the expert", which will consist on parallel discussion sessions focused on the three themes covered during the workshop, allowing the interaction of participants and speakers in a more targeted and specialized fashion.

This event, aimed at strengthening the nexus of scientific organizations in industry, results from the European project ShareBiotech - Sharing life science infrastructures and skills to benefit the Atlantic area biotechnology sector. This project, led by two French institutions (Bretagne Innovation and CRITT Santé Bretagne), is a partnership composed by 10 institutions (including Biocant) from 4 Member States (France, Portugal, Spain and Ireland).
